Central Dispatch


Central Communications Dispatchers are professionals, certified in CPR and emergency medical telephone techniques.   They are available to educate the public on the proper use of 911 by offering instructional programs at schools, senior citizen centers  or any interested group.  

Located at 8505 Garfield Rd., Kirtland, Ohio , behind Lakeland Community College. 
Housed inside the Emergency Operations Center, a totally secure facility built 13 feet underground. 
Provide police and fire dispatching for 19 Public Safety Agencies in Lake County
Employs a staff of 26 dispatch, computer and administrative personnel
Utilizes an 800Mhz, simulcast radio system with 4 tower sites located throughout the county
Enhanced 9-1-1 telephone service and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) to assist in efficient dispatching.
Dispatch over 100,000 incidents annually
Answer over 150,000 calls annually
T.D.D telephone device for hearing and speech impaired.  Dial 911, 354-4317 or 354-3434 to be connected to our T.D.D. equipment.
